The phosphorus in legumes plays an essential role as part of the membrane system cell, chloroplast and mitochondria. Groundnut, being a legume oilseed crop, requires significant amount phosphorus. Plants use it for energy transfer metabolic processes such photosynthesis (in form ATP ADP), starch sugar transformation nutrient movement. In addition to promoting cell division development good root systems important ensuring timely uniform ripening crops, carbohydrate breakdown release, hastening maturity, is component growth maturity plants. Phosphorus one principal nutrients, which boosts growth, thus facilitating water uptake from deeper layers soil. groundnut crop calls sensible supply its regular growth. has been found improve crop's effective soil nutrients increase biological N fixation by increasing nitrogenase activity. Various research this paper clearly indicate that application significantly affects phenology, yield attributes, yield, quality, economics groundnut.
